Kenan Foundation Asia (“Kenan,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal data responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal data when you visit the WE Inspire Incubation Hub (“WE Inspire”) website, submit information through online forms, register for activities, participate in project services, use the Rural Women Entrepreneurship Dashboard, subscribe to communications, contact us, or otherwise engage with WE Inspire online or offline.

1. About WE Inspire​

WE Inspire is an initiative implemented by Kenan Foundation Asia with support from the Asia Gender Equality Fund by AVPN.

The project aims to support women’s economic empowerment, gender equality, and social inclusion by strengthening access to entrepreneurial skills, employability skills, financial literacy, financing access, health literacy, affordable health insurance options, networks, services, and resources.

WE Inspire works with local partners to support rural women and their communities, including through WE Inspire hubs, capacity-building activities, monitoring and evaluation, and the development of an online Rural Women Entrepreneurship Dashboard.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, Kenan may act as a data controller when we determine how and why personal data is collected, used, or disclosed. In some cases, we may act as a data processor or service provider on behalf of a donor, partner, local organization, or project stakeholder.

2. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data collected through:

  • The WE Inspire website and online forms.
  • Project applications, registrations, surveys, assessments, and feedback forms.
  • WE Inspire trainings, workshops, mentoring, community activities, events, webinars, and online learning.

Professional, educational, business, and livelihood information

Health, wellbeing, and service access information

Where relevant to WE Inspire activities, we may collect information related to health literacy, access to healthcare or insurance, service needs, accessibility needs, or referral support. We will collect such information only when necessary, appropriate, and permitted by law.

Gender equality and social inclusion information

To support Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) programming, monitoring, and reporting, we may collect information related to gender, age, disability-related needs, community context, household responsibilities, access to services, barriers to participation, or other inclusion-related information. Where this information is sensitive under applicable law, we will handle it with additional care and request explicit consent where required.

Communication information

Messages, inquiries, newsletter preferences, contact history, social media interactions, responses to WE Inspire communications, and records of communication with Kenan or project partners.

Dashboard, monitoring, and research information

We may still send non-marketing communications where necessary, such as registration confirmations, project updates, operational notices, safeguarding notices, legal notices, or responses to your inquiries.

Kenan uses stories, photographs, videos, interviews, quotes, and testimonials to communicate the impact of WE Inspire, recognize partners, share learning, support reporting, and inspire public engagement.

We will seek consent where required before collecting or publishing identifiable images, videos, stories, or testimonials, especially when the content involves children, young people, sensitive information, health-related information, vulnerable communities, or project participants.

If you wish to withdraw consent for future use of your image, story, quote, or testimonial, please contact us. We will make reasonable efforts to stop future use where possible.
